Frequently asked questions

  • Do you deliver?

At the moment, we are only running a click and collect service. You can collect it from our warehouse at Unit 6, 24 Croydon Street, Leeds, LS11 9RT. Shop open 10-4pm Monday - Saturday
  • Is there a limit on the number of square metres I can order?

Yes, due to our capacity we have limited the number of square metres to 10 per customer. We can complete larger orders, but would need to chat about your requirements beforehand so we can ensure a realistic deadline.
  • How safe is pallet wood?

Pallet wood is a popular material for woodwork and DIY projects. Leeds Wood Recycling carefully selects our pallet wood, ensuring that the pallet treatment codes are understood and adhered to. LWR do NOT use Europallets for wood walls and manufacturing, this is because Europallets frequently contain dangerous contaminants which can contain toxic carcinogenic chemicals. Also, no MB (Methyl Bromide) pallets are used at any time at Leeds Wood Recycling.
  • What are the dimensions of the pallet wood?

The widths vary based on which option you choose. Uniform width range is where all slats are uniform in width* (*within 2mm) , whereas the Mixed range has a mix of boards ranging from 70mm - 130mm wide. The thickness of the boards are not uniform, and vary between 15mm -25mm.
  • Which width do I choose?

The uniform range is easier to install as the timbers are the same width, making it easier to follow a line across the room. Using the mixed range gives a great rustic look, but will involve a bit more ‘jigsawing’ as the widths are random.
  • What is the sanding finish of the pallet wood wall?

We sand the boards on all sides with a rustic 60 grit sandpaper.
